About

Hi, I'm Samantha! Savor The Spoonful keeps baking simple. Minimal ingredients, maximum flavor. Easy, allergy-friendly, and always delicious.

How It Started

Born and raised in Ohio, my baking foundation began at a young age in my grandma’s kitchen, making traditional treats with full fat, lots of sugar, and nothing fancy when it came to technique.

But in my 20s, everything changed when I learned I had a gluten sensitivity. Suddenly, the recipes I grew up with no longer worked for me, and I had to relearn baking all over again.

Becoming gluten-free meant figuring out new ingredients and alternative flours and came with plenty of trial and error (and more than a few baking fails!). But eventually I got the hang of it, and now I get to share my tested and perfected recipes with you.

Emphasis On Easy

Let’s be honest... enjoying baking doesn’t always mean you have extra hours to spend in the kitchen. As a self-proclaimed "lazy baker," my recipes are designed for real life: one bowl, minimal ingredients, and approachable for home bakers of all skill levels.

Think of my recipes as grown-up versions of the box mixes you loved as a kid...stupid simple, but way more delicious.

I take the classic desserts you love most and give them a dietary-friendly makeover, without ever compromising on taste. Aka: you won’t be able to tell they’re gluten-free, vegan, or anything else. See for yourself!

And when I say easy, I really mean EASY. 2-ingredient peanut butter cookies, 3-ingredient pumpkin muffins, 4-ingredient oatmeal cookies… you get the point. Simple ingredients, super quick to make, and always delicious.

The "Why" Behind The Name

The name Savor The Spoonful comes from one simple idea: dessert should be enjoyed.

There's been a defining "diet" of every decade for as long as we can all remember. This constant diet messaging and slogans like "guilt-free" have made sweets feel off-limits, or just plain wrong. But in reality, treats belong in a happy, balanced life.

Savor The Spoonful encourages bringing the joy back into baking. While we all strive to be healthy, dessert can absolutely be part of that—and it doesn’t need to come with strings attached like calorie counting or judgment. Just delicious desserts you can savor, one spoonful at a time.

Passion Meets Career
